Do you know that time spent in nature is one of the best ways to inspire creativity? By taking our writing practice outdoors, we sharpen our senses, take creative cues from unexpected places, and allow for the “relaxation response” to kick in.

By engaging in the practices below, we remember that writing is waaaay more than a mental activity; it’s an embodied practice. To become better writers we need to get our bodies involved.

  • Forest Therapy (forest bathing, shinrin-yoku) invites us to fully embrace the present moment through a series of sensory invitations.

It asks us to slow down, pay attention and relate to our bodies and our surroundings.

It's a wellness practice that everyone, writers especially, should engage in.

  • A yoga rewilded practice remembers that yoga’s roots are in the forest and opens the way to Consciousness through relationship with the natural world. It intentionally applies yogic principles within, alongside, and centered upon nature.

Yoga Rewilded brings us back into relationship with our bodies and the earth we live upon. It centers and grounds us, providing a welcoming foundation from which to cultivate a writing practice (and life in general!).
