Crafting Your Conservation Story

Bubble House Brewery, Lisle, IL

February 3, 6-8pm

Behind every conservation effort is a personal story, often shaped by an experience in the natural world that changed how we see and feel. This talk explores how accessing and articulating that story can strengthen our work, sustain us through difficult times, and deepen our connection with others. Attendees will be guided through identifying a key moment of connection, shaping it into a simple, shareable story, and learning how to call on that story in their conservation work.
Recommended: Bring something to write with and on as you’ll be invited to reflect and capture a story during the talk.

Join us at The Conservation Foundation (TCF) as we discuss a new work each month! Whether it’s fiction, nonfiction or poetry, we’ll come together to learn, share and be inspired.

No need to register or pay a fee, just bring your ideas, questions and open minds as we delve into works that deepen our relationship to the land, ourselves and each other.

To find out what we’re reading, go to TCF’s events page or follow Prairie Pathways on Instagram.

Cultivating Nonattachment Through Collage

Morton Arboretum, Lisle, IL

February 6, 1:30-4:30pm

Join me at the Writing and Art Nature Retreat as we explore nonattachment—the practice of releasing our need to control or shape a particular outcome—through the playful, intuitive medium of collage.

Much like the natural world, collage invites us to trust in organic process over perfect design. Guided invitations will support you in letting go and opening up to possibility as you create a one-of-a-kind piece that reflects your experience.

Please bring a journal and any of your favorite markers or pencils.

A piece of collage art with the words, "Cultivating Nonattachment Through Collage," announces an upcoming workshop at The Morton Arboretum.

In addition to guiding Writing W.I.L.D., forest therapy and rewilded yoga practices, I facilitate createshops. Past createshops include vision board calendars, restoryation exercises (where we create new stories for and about ourselves), as well as custom events like bridal showers and seasonal celebrations.

I also speak on many themes at the intersection of creativity, nature and living a life “lit up.”

Past clients have included corporate, nonprofit and educational institutions, as well as private sector groups and individuals.
